🐣 Release note - April 2023 🐣

πŸ‡ We have so many egg puns, it's not even bunny. Get ready!

Due to the popular demand, the beloved Release Notes newsletter you were receiving last year is back! A lot has happened since our last update but today we’ll focus on some of the most egg-citing changes introduced in the last few months.

Key Features

We will start with a few key features that can save you time and make workflows more smooth:

🐀 Quick edit

This new addition to the platform is Fresh Outta Clucks. You can now simply press 'E' on your keyboard to edit a number of items:

  • Vacancies
  • Positions
  • Placements
  • Sites
  • Worker details

All items that can be edited this way will have 'e' in the 3-line menu:

Please note that the existing functionality has not changed - you can only edit items that your business have created and only if you have the permission to do so!

πŸ₯• Improved Team search

In the past the search field on Team members page only considered the name of the person. We understand that to find one user, you would need to scroll for a while, which was no doubt - eggs-hausting! We've listened to your feedback and eggs-panded it's search capabilities to include:

  • Name
  • Job Title
  • Role
  • Status

🐰 Unify the design and labels

Pop-up messages

As part of our UI (User Interface) update, we have re-vamped arguably the most used feature BUT the one you might not notice sometimes - pop-up notifications! Now they are more visible, clear and easy to read. We have also updated the logic behind them so:

  • Pop-up without buttons will auto-close after 7 seconds or whenever it’s clicked
  • Pop-up with action button(s) will stay on the screen until you've interacted with them

Engagement type labels

We have also renamed some of the labels in the Engagement type section:

Client label

One other key improvement in the UI - a new 'End Hirer' label on the placements!

Client Configuration label

Last but not definitely not least - we have updated all Client-related fields to show exactly what they are related to - Client Configurations:

πŸŽ€ Deactivating team members

You’re just some-bunny that I used to know...

Recruitment is a fast-paced industry and quick changes in the team are not unheard of. Recently we have released a feature that allows all Administrators to deactivate users without the need to reach to our Support team.

🐣 ENGAGE Resource Centre

Over the years ENGAGE became a crucial part of the recruitment processes for our clients, and we understand the importance of:

  • Being aware if any service is down as soon as it happens
  • Being able to find answers to your functionality questions quickly
  • Knowing if a new feature is available

In the past you would normally find out about any of those through emails or newsletters, which was not a sustainable way to go - we know that emails can go missing, undelivered or deleted unintentionally and newsletters can be skipped. As a result - your team is missing out on features or information to give to (co)workers. And we are not omelletin' this slide!

This is why we have introduced our newly improved and updated Resource Centre! No need to remember or save external links - you can access all the latest notifications, alerts or guides right from the platform:

🌼 New version of Timesheets

One of the biggest changes that happened in 2022 was the release of our timesheet redesign. It included not only a visual improvement, but under the hood, we have made timesheets and expenses work more efficiently and be more secure.

That's it for the big update - onto the smaller ones!

Smaller Updates

🐝 Users' Role visibility

What kind of eggs-pert are you - recruitment or finance? In the past you wouldn't know what role you are assigned on ENGAGE unless:

  • Your ENGAGE administrator tells you or
  • Our Support informs you or
  • You have access to the Teams page (not all roles do)

This is now a thing of the past! We have introduced a new label on the My Account page showing you the role you have:

🍫 Keep your place

Another time saving and highly requested feature - Timesheets and Positions now open in the new window when clicked! This is eggs-tra useful if you:

  • Need to amend a few of them, so you will not lose your spot on the Timesheet/Position list page and be able to make all the necessary changes in a separate tab
  • Applied any filters on Timesheet or Position page and don't want to lose track of them

πŸ₯ New Password Reset email

We have updated the copy of the email users receive when they try to reset their password or if their admin is triggering one for them:

🌸 Updated Invoice template

All invoice templates have been unified and improved with industry-standard naming conventions to make all charge and tax calculation breakdowns clear and easier to understand.

🌱 Changes to tabs on Mobile

Some buttons and essential navigation tabs were missing from the mobile version of ENGAGE and finally got fixed - no eggs-cuses! This is what has been added:

  • Sites - 'Hide closed sites' is now visible
  • Statement details - 'Hide 'OK to Pay' is now visible on mobile. It’s only displayed only if:
    • The statement is for a supplier
    • 'OK to pay' is enabled in the legal entity
  • Tasks - 'Hide completed tasks' (only applicable to our Payroll clients)
  • 'All Placements/Timesheets/Vacancies' - users who have access to all of the items (not just the ones they are following) can now see them on the Mobile version of the ENGAGE

🧑 'Save & Submit'

In line with our continuous improvement of timesheet processes we have introduced a new button - 'Save & Submit'. We hope this will make the processes of submitting timesheets even faster for your team members and workers.

πŸ“ Vacancy ID in Placement Report

In some instances the 'Vacancy ID' would be incorrect in the Placement report - fixed and no longer an issue!

This is far from the full list of all the improvements, fixes and new features that the team at ENGAGE has introduced over the last few months but we think these are the most helpful and useful ones.

A few words from the team

Both 2022 and these first few months of 2023 were very busy for ENGAGE team. But apart from all of the eggs-citing work that our Product and Design team has done thanks to your feedback, continuous support and our fantastic Operational team - here are some other big milestones that we hit:

🐝 We have welcomed our new Business Development Manager - Chris! He has started just a few months ago so if you haven't met him yet - say Hi!

🐰 Introduced a whole new department - Growth team, which is led by Max (who some of you met already!).

🌼 Re-instated a dedicated Onboarding team to help you, your 2nd Tier agencies, Umbrellas that you work with and Clients get onto the platform in a stress-free and efficient manner. This is headed by Maria, who moved from Customer Success team to solely focus on onboarding.

We would like to wish everyone to enjoy this long weekend whether you are celebrating Easter or not! 🧑

Oh, and if you have any questions, just basket πŸ’Ÿ
