How to Approve or Cancel Vacancy Requests

 

What are Vacancy Approvals?

The Vacancy Approvals feature allows End Hirers, Master Vendors, and MSPs to set up a chain of management approval steps which must be completed before any vacancy can be released for fulfilment to your designated vendors. This feature can be enabled on any Client Configuration and even your own VMS Configuration. How to Approve a Vacancy

Step 1. Log into Engage

Step 2.Navigate to ‘Jobs’, then ‘Vacancies’

Step 3. Make sure the ‘All Vacancies’ tab is selected in order to view all vacancies accessible to you

Step 4.Select the Status filter and select ‘Unapproved’ to filter for all the vacancies that are waiting for your approval.

Step 5.Select the Vacancy you wish to review and this will take you to the vacancy’s detail view. An even faster way of doing this is to check your Notifications by clicking the bell icon and selecting any vacancy approval task

Step 6.Select the three-line menu

Step 7.If the vacancy meets all your criteria, select 'Approve'

Step 8. Confirm that you want to approve the vacancy by selecting ‘Yes, approve vacancy’

In some cases, you might be granted top-level approval control which will grant you an extra option called “Approve All Levels”. This option allows you to bypass all approval steps and immediately approve and Open the vacancy to vendors for worker submissions.

How to Cancel a Vacancy

If the vacancy does not meet your criteria, use the comments section at the bottom of the page to ask questions and request any updates. Or, if you wish to cancel the vacancy, click the three-line menu, and select 'Update Status'.

This will trigger a form where you’ll be able to Cancel the vacancy and provide your team with a comment as to why it was cancelled. Once you’re ready, click Update and confirm that you want to cancel the Vacancy.
