⭐ Introducing our new Release Note series

Welcome to the first installment of our Release Notes! 

In this series, we will showcase the improvements, changes, and fixes we have done in the past few weeks. As the ENGAGE platform grows, we're continuously evolving and learning from our user feedback to deliver you the best experience.

Here's what's new...

🛠️ Purchase order filter

This is an exciting update for everyone who is using our Finance module - you can now filter invoices by purchase order (PO) numbers! It's been a long time coming as it's a very complex search but it's now released and ready to use!

🛠️ Workers' invoices

Previously, when workers changed from being paid through their limited companies to PAYE - they would lose their invoices. This is because initially, by design, workers would only see modules relevant to their current engagement type.

This functionality proved difficult for some contractors when they tried to download their invoices after the pay type change. At this point, invoices would no longer be accessible. 

This has now been solved, meaning if contractors change the engagement type from 'self-employed' to PAYE, invoices are still available on their profile.

💡 Copy Timesheet ID 

A very small yet powerful update - you can now copy timesheet IDs right from the Timesheet list! Previously, to find/copy Timesheet ID you would need to first locate the timesheet, open it, wait for it to load, and then do the appropriate action. We have now changed this and enabled the IDs to be copied directly from the timesheet excerpt. Time saver!

🎉 Loading bar

One of the biggest improvements we have introduced is the loading bar at the top of the page.

As you may know some pages on the ENGAGE platform store a lot of data, for example, Timesheets and Placements. Depending on the amount of information, these modules might be very slow to load and sometimes get stuck - but you would not be notified of it. Same goes for Reports - most of them generate in the background and on rare occasions fail without any notice.

Not anymore! The loading bar has already proved to be very useful in our internal tests so we are confident this will be a handy new addition that will improve the usability of the ENGAGE platform as well as your experience.

 

🎉 Share Code ID

As of 01/07/2021 every European worker must obtain a Share code ID to prove their EU settlement status. We have released a feature that helps collect and store these codes, ensuring your contractors are compliant. You can read more about it here.

💡 Hours input

As part of the user experience improvements, we have redesigned the hours input on placements:

 

Previously, there was a slider which proved to be counter-intuitive to use:

In response to this, we have introduced a simple field, making it much easier to enter the hours required.
